Hepta Security Limited is 51 percent Indigenous-owned. The aim is to create economic and educational opportunities for the Gitxsan and Wetsueten people. The company is based in Hazelton, the land of the Gitxsan people. We will strive to create learning workshops on workplace safety, the importance of safety regulations, and the respect for the traditional territory of the Gitxsan people. We aim to support local First Nations Bands, health centres, and community events. We aim to provide employment to local community members within the industry and utilize work-related skills to support the community’s needs.
The name Hepta Security comes from the seven First Nations communities in the Hazelton area. A heptagon represents a structure that is difficult to break structurally and geometrically. Our Security Company represents the strength and bond of the seven First Nations in the Hazelton area.
